You’re new to PrizePicks or have been playing on there for a while now and have been wondering “What slips should I play?” There are more options than there may seem on the site. Let’s dive into what you should be playing for the best odds and chance of winning.
PrizePicks Promos and Slashed Props
First off, to fully take advantage of PrizePicks you should be playing their slashed props and other promos. Most people think that promos only pop up on Taco Tuesday, but that’s not the case. Look through each sport every day and you will find other slashed props on days outside of Tuesday.

Today is Monday and the MLB has a slashed prop up. What would normally be 5 strikeouts on their site, is set at just 3.5 for this pitcher.
Additionally, PrizePicks has a Flex Friday for most users on Friday. This means you can play a flex slip with at least 5 picks in it risk free. If you lose you get the money back in the form of credits. Take advantage of that.
Best Slips to Play on PrizePicks

Flat out, the best slips to play for the best odds over time are 5-pick-flex slips. Hitting all 5 gets you a 10x while still getting 4 of 5 doubles your money and even 3 of 5 you get back 40%. That 40% back doesn’t sound like a lot but over time it keeps your bankroll up.
So, how do we know that these are the best odds? Oddsjam, a player prop data site, did the math. The American Odds to break even on a 5-pick-flex slip is -124. Most people think that the 6-pick-flex slip has the best odds but it is slightly worse at -127.
Worst Slips to Play on PrizePicks
3-pick-power plays are the worst odds you could play on PrizePicks. They have break even odds of -158. Oof.
These have the worst odds but if you want to play 3-pick slips, definitely play over on UnderDog instead, especially if you aren’t on there already because you get a 100% match just for new users.
On UnderDog, 3-pick slips payout at a 6x multiplier while PrizePicks pays out at just a 5x. Occupy Fantasy actually calculated that this is -122 odds to break even which is even better than the 5-pick-flex slip on PrizePicks.
The next worse slips to play on PrizePicks are a 2-pick at -153 and then a 4-pick-power play.
